BMW AG outlined its model changes for model year 2003.
BMW 3 coup’ and cabriolet
– new 330 Cd model powered by a 6-cylinder 3-liter diesel engine capable of 150 kW (204 bhp). It has a maximum torque of 410 Nm @ 1500 rpm. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 7.2 sec, max speed is 242 km/h. Fuel consumption is 6.6 liter / 100 km.
– Top-of-the line is the 330 Ci with an in-line 6-cylinder petrol engine capable of 170 kW (231 bhp). It can be ordered either with a 6-speed manual or SMG gearbox. — BMW 330i performance package.
– Both the coup’ and the cabriolet gets adaptive headlights with cornering beam. The two-level LED braking light is available in the US market only.
3 series
– New colors, new wheels, SMG gearbox and other trim options are the major updates for 2003. — new BMW 5 Series range.
– New entry-level model for the Compact is the 318 td, while the 325ti gets the SMG gearbox as an option. — Audi A4 Coupe Cabrio Concept.
7 series
-From early 2003 new entry-level model is the 730i (and 730 Li) powered by a 6-cylinder 3-liter engine with Bi-VANOS valve timing technology. It is capable of 170 kW (231 bhp) @ 5900 rpm and 300 Nm of torque @ 3500 rpm. Equipped with a 6-speed Steptronic gearbox it accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 8.1 (8.3 secs), max speed is 237 km/h.
