Intro: Swedish Motor Assemblies Sdn Bhd is a leading, premium brand automotive assembler in the country. It has been established 1967 as part of the Government initiative to promote local assembly. Six plants were permitted one of them being the Volvo assembly plant of Swedish Motors. Today it assembles a few thousand units of Volvo passenger cars also Land Rover and Suzuki off-roaders.
