Intro: Set up in 1964, Volkswagen de Mexico is one of the largest employer in the Mexican automotive industry with a headcount of some 13,800 people. Volkswagen de M’xico produces the Golf Variant, Jetta, New Beetle, New Beetle Cabriolet, busses, trucks, engines and cylinder heads at the Puebla plant. 347,000 vehicles were built at the plant in 2006, with over 80 percent destined for export. |
