The 650-million-USD Assembly center invested in Rayong,Thailand is one of the 4 similarly modern plants GM sets up around the world. One is in Gliwice, Poland. The other is in Rosario, Argentina and the fourth one is in Shanghai, China. Located 117-km from Bangkok to the East, GM Thailand Assembly Center is situated on a 190-acre plot of land in the Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate, Pluakdaeng District, Rayong province. The initial production capacity is 40,000 units per year, expandable to 120,000 units per year.
